Manager Procurement – 3rd Party Manufacturing

JOB TITLE: Sourcing Manager – 3^rd Party Manufacturing

REPORTS TO: General Manager – 3PM & Freight

DEPARTMENT: HO Procurement

COUNTRY: India

LOCATION: Gurgaon.

JOB PURPOSE:

. Effectively manage the existing 3^rd party manufacturing partners ( NHC & OTC) through supplier management strategies

. Identify, select and introduce new 3^rd party manufacturing partners in line with business requirements. Responsible for procurement of finished products.

DIMENSIONS OF THIS ROLE

COMPLEXITY & INDEPENDENT THINKING:

1. Manage extremely complex supply for diverse products from both Pharma & NHC trade – Understanding of P2P & DPCO / Conversion costs etc

2. Need to understand the diversity of taxation & Legal system across the country including DPCO to enable us take favorable business decisions

3. Spontaneous & radically different approaches / decisions for problems solving

4. Expertise across a wide range of supply markets

5. In-depth knowledge of major features of such supply markets / sources of information on the same for carrying out industry benchmarking

6. Tactical & strategic negotiation for the category

7. Initiate & manage major cost improvement programmes for strategic categories of expenditure, resulting in significant savings or cost control.

8. Department champion for managing Procurement Overheads

Experience / Knowledge / Technical Skills Required:

§ Qualification & Experience

1. Graduate qualification in Engineering
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience (post qualification) in a similar industry

§ Knowledge

1. Knowledge of SGM process and LeanSigma principles and application of required tools in the creation & implementation of source plans
2. Knowledge of factors affecting and key influencers that affect sourcing activities & supplier management
3. Knowledge of Commercial statutes – taxation structures & processes

§ Technical Skills

1. Project Management skills
2. Ability to use cost management tools to achieve cost control, cost reduction & cost containment
3. Ability to strengthen supplier management to drive for supplier cost reductions and deliver cost savings to the business
4. Strong analytical
