JOB TITLE: Brand Manager - Innovation

JOB PURPOSE:

1. To drive and manage NPDs/ line extension projects.

2. To work with the brand team to evolve sales volume, revenue, market share and profit objectives for Nutritional Health Category/Over the Counter brands including variants cumulatively and individually.


DIMENSIONS OF THIS ROLE:


1. Innovation on Nutritional Health Category(NHC)/Over The Counter(OTC) products
2. Understand the categories, liaise with the extended brand teams and Brand managers to achieve planned objectives
3. Drive the identification of NPD ideas, management of NPD/ extensions within the existing regulatory environmentEvaluate opportunities for inorganic growth viz. acquisitions/ in-licensing opportunities


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identify and secure agreement of key stakeholders on line extensions/ inorganic opportunities under each NHC/OTC brand
2. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on sales and consumption forecast for the identified extensions/ inorganic opportunities and monitor accuracy
3. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on the effort priorities and entry strategy to help achieve financial targets.
4. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on compelling communication to build equity.
5. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on consumer promotion activities to generate trials and reward loyalty to help extend and build a strong consumer base.
6. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on the media plans
7. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on medical marketing activities to drive equity in medical fraternity where needed
8. Work the market to gauge effectiveness and efficiency of marketing programs.
9. Evaluate and track extension performance against budget and communicate to key stake holders the progress
10. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on new POS development and channel development drives with sales
11. Develop and secure agreement of key stakeholders on high quality creative output for NPDs through active participation with and supervision of advertising & research agencies.

. Degree in Business administration (MBA) from a reputed management institute.
. Around 3-4 years experience in brand management, good understanding of sales and distribution

. Analysis techniques
